Matador néven forradalmian megújult éttermünk

2019. May 24.

Az egykori Cinnamon étterem kívül-belül teljesen megújult, mostantól egész éves nyitva tartással Matador néven nyitja meg újra kapuit. Új névvel, fine diningos bisztróvonallal, de a megszokott steakhouse-ként hétvégi nyitva tartással várjuk vendégeinket. A korábbi, félig nyitott teraszos megoldás helyett vadonatúj étterem épült, amely építészetileg is egyedülálló. Látogatóink a nemzetközi konyha kiváló, friss alapanyagokból készülő izgalmas ízeit ismerhetik meg à la carte vagy egyedi borvacsora keretében.

A tulajdonos, az argentin származású, de Magyarországon és Kaliforniában is otthon levő Carlos Coelho örömmel definiálta újra az étterem koncepcióját is: “12 éve visszük ezt az éttermet már! Az elsődleges célunk nem az, hogy még szofisztikáltabb legyen a konyha, hanem az, hogy a vendégeink számára tökéletes, akár egész napos élményt kínáljunk a Haraszthy Pincészetben!”


New international honour for our wines!

2019. April 24.

Our Pinot Noir 2017 wine was rewarded Best Hungarian Varietal Wine of VinAgora and enriched with a gold medal, and our Pinot Noir Rosé 2018 won silver medal at the competition. We are proud of our chief winemaker, Dániel Pázmányi and the whole winemaker team.

Our wines were awarded at the Wine Competition of the Council of the Wine Community!

2019. April 16.

The organizers announced the winners last week and Haraszthy was enriched with 3 gold medals. This is an outstanding result for the winery.

Here are the winners:
Haraszthy Chardonnay 2016  88 points
Pinot Noir Rosé 2018  87,6 points
Sauvignon Blanc 2017  87,9 points


Harvest report 2018

2018. November 13.

2018 harvest started on the 2nd August with Irsai Olivér variety. This variety was only harvested from Etyek-Buda region. Due to extreme warm and dry weather we harvested all Irsai grapes within 6 days. Most tipical charecteristic of this season was its length; it was a very-very long season with a well balanced rain supply and moderate temperatures until August. This long and finally warm season has resulted in huge bunches and a record quantity of yield.

We harvested the Pinot noir and Chardonnay grapes for sparkling wine in the second half of August. Remembering well the extreme fast ripening of 2017 we handled timing of harvest carefully and flexibly. Tipically we had to slow down picking and delay important harvests like Sauvignon until optimal stage. We harvested the Pinot grigio and Rosé at the end of August. Second half of Rosé picking was postponed by 7 days. During the ripening of Pinot we could observe the heterogenous colour and ripening stage of bunches which was most tipical issue of this vintage. It was worth selecting bunches in the vineyard and stop for week and waiting for better ripeness.


This year’s best quality grape was defenately Chardonnay, it was a great vintage for this variety picked during second half of September in Vál. Especially the old Vines perfomed great complexity and ripeness.

During 2018 harvest our on site technical research field was fermentation technology and colour development of Pinot noir variety; especially stability of colour and structure of aroma compounds.

On the 4th, 5th and 11th August we will have private events, the next time you can enjoy Cinnamon restaurant and our great dishes is 12th August. Reservation is recommended.

Central Europe’s best Pinot Noir is our Rosé!

Central Eastern Europe's biggest wine challenge, VinAgora International Wine competition was held a couple of weeks ago where the organizers always choose the best representative of each wine variety.

This year we had the honor to win the gold medal with our Pinot Noir Rosé which means that our wine is among the best rosés in the region and also the most beautiful representative of the beloved variety, Pinot Noir.

LOVE has arrived to Vál!

2017. August 30.

The sculpture of the Ukrainian artist, Alexander Milov has arrived to Hungary.

The breathtaking art piece shows two adults sitting back to back but their inner children reach for each other(they also shine bright in the dark).

The sculpture is 16 meters long and 10 meters high and it was critically acclaimed as one of the best installations of the Burning Man festival in 2015.

The inauguration ceremony of  LOVE will be held at our vineyards in Vál on Friday, 1st September. The estate can be found in Vál at the end of Petőfi Sándor street on the top of the hill where the vineyard starts. We are looking forward to everyone to celebrate with us!
