At Haraszthy Vineyards, we have the honor of cultivating grapes in one of the most esteemed sites of Hungary in Etyek-Buda wine region. We produce wine in 143 hectares what we are continuously aiming to cultivate and develop. Our mission is to maintain our very high quality standards as we expand our wine list.
Much of this site’s terroir is defined by its location of Öreghegy, where the winds breeze in, cooling the vines and preventing the fruit from ripening too quickly. The vineyard’s soil and climate conditions are very similar to Champagne region, the steady temperature and moderate weather is essential for making good quality wine. These are the vines that surround our winery; the fruit visible from our tasting hall doors and gallery windows. On this small, steeply-sloped property, intense sunlight is contrasted by cool air temperatures to ripen its grapes powerfully and evenly. The resulting wines give us a seductive, full-bodied and silky smooth mouth-feel.

Vál vineyards are acclaimed as one of the top vineyards in Hungary, and for good reason. Nestled in Vál valley’s sloping hills, the vineyard benefits the cooling breezes on the top of the hill and the warm Vál valley temperatures ensure peak ripeness while maintaining vibrant acidity levels. The entire vineyard is 135 hectares in total, ranging in elevation from 100 to 240 feet above sea level on well-drained loess soils. The vines here produce intense, delicious fruit with beautifully balanced levels of sugar and acidity and an enchantingly complex bouquet of flavors.
